About Us

Jared was born and raised in the heart of the mountain West where exploring the rugged outdoors and interacting with animals were basic parts of life. He has traveled the western half of the country competing in rodeos at high school, collegiate, and professional levels. He earned a Master's degree in Biology where he studied animal behavior and finally landed in Pinedale, WY where he began a career as a wildlife biologist with work emphasized in disease research and management. His work has taken him across countless miles of unforgiving terrain throughout the the Wind River Mountain range on horse back where at least one furry canine companion is always present. He credits the quiet time for his ability to succeed as a singer/songwriter, a career that he launched in February 2010. You can visit www.jaredrogerson.com to sample his music. He regards "authenticity" as a vital factor of his music and every other endeavor with which he has been involved. He brings that ideal with him to Wind River Doodles where his role is primarily to assist Jen with puppy socialization, photography, and website design/maintenance.
Jennifer grew up on a small farm in southwestern New York and as a young girl fell in love with animals of all kinds. She raised chickens, goats, rabbits, horses, turkeys, cats and many dogs. After working at a veterinary clinic for the four years following high school, she left home to study Forest Technology in the Adirondak Mountains, then headed west. She began her career in Pinedale, Wyoming where she met and married Jared. Her adventurous spirit led her into many outdoor endeavors such as marking timber stands, elk disease research, fisheries, moose habitat inventory, and guiding backpacking adventure groups in the Wind River Mountains. Her love for working one-on-one with animals has always superseded her attempts at a career spent away from them, and she found herself once again at the local animal clinic working closely with the veterinarians. She has developed a unique ability to identify the mental and physical needs of individual animals. She also understands first-hand that love, attention, and proper nutrition is the best formula for happy, healthy dogs. Now, as a stay-at-home mom and owner of Wind River Doodles, she has precious time to spend with Jada and Oakley, and time to get to know and interact with each puppy. Jen is a gifted "match-maker," as she helps pair the best puppy to suit his/her new family.

is 6 years old, and
Oakley is 4, and they both LOVE to play with and help out with the baby puppies.  Peek-a-boo and tug-of-war are among their favorite games together. Their daily interaction with each puppy makes our fur babies the perfect candidates for any home with small children. Jada hopes to move to Salt Lake City one day and start a feline rescue. Oakley, however, would like to start his own canine rescue right here in Pinedale.
"It is our love of animals and our appreciation for the special bond created when a pup finds his/her forever family that drives us to do our best. We are so grateful for this opportunity, and we look forward to meeting new friends with whom these puppies can form bonds with for a lifetime."
